Makes 42 crackers
Ingredients
- 1 lb. Farmview Market housemade bacon
- 1 sleeve of Field Day Baked House Crackers
- 8 oz asiago or other aged hard cheese
- 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Oconee Gold Dust Seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300 degrees. Place a cooling rack on top of a lined baking sheet.
- Mix together the brown sugar and Oconee Gold Dust. Set aside.
- Thinly slice cheese, smaller than the size of the house cracker.
- Slice each piece of bacon into fours so they also match the cracker size. Trim if needed. TIP: Slice bacon while it is still sealed in the package, in half then in half again.
- Place all crackers onto the cooling rack. When lined neatly, they should barely be touching.
- Place one piece of cheese onto each cracker, then top with a piece of bacon.
- Sprinkle each with the Oconee Gold Dust and brown sugar mixture.
- Bake in the oven for 45-60 minutes, rotating the pan halfway through. Begin checking on them at 45 minutes. Once the bacon is cooked through and looks crispy with the edges of the crackers brown, they are finished. Do not undercook. The more rendered the bacon is, the better.
- Let crackers cool to crisp up and serve at room temperature.
