Ingredients
- 1 Farmview Market Chocolate Cola Cake Mix - baked to directions & cooled (save Cola glaze for another use*)
- 1 cup cola
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 Farmview Market Chocolate Cream Pie Mix
- 1 2/3 cups Rock House Creamery Whole Milk + 1/3 cup
- 1/2 cup Georgia Peanut Commission Skinless & Salted Peanuts
- 1 pint heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Prepare pudding according to recipe directions. Once pudding has thickened, take off heat and stir in ⅓ cup of whole milk. This will cause your mix to set as a pudding, rather than a thick pie consistency. Place in a bowl and directly cover pudding mix with plastic wrap to prevent a skin from forming. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Do not place in pie shell.
- Once cool, cut the baked Farmview chocolate cola cake into 1 inch cubes. Set aside two cubes (you’ll crumble these later for a topping).
- In a large mixing bowl, add whipping cream. Beat with electric beaters for 1-2 minutes. Slowly add the powdered sugar and continue beating until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
- Layer ⅓ of the chocolate cola cake cubes in the bottom of a trifle dish. Dollop ⅓ of the pudding mixture over the cake. Dollop whipped cream where you didn’t put pudding. Do not mix. Sprinkle ⅓ of the peanuts over the pudding.
- Repeat with two more layers. On the last layer, cover the top with the remaining whipped cream.
- Sprinkle top with cake crumbs and peanuts.
- Refrigerate trifle for 1-2 hours before serving.
