Flavors of Fall: Join Us at Farmview on October 22nd!
It’s time to savor the Flavors of Fall! Head out to Farmview Market this Saturday, October 22 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, as we celebrate our Flavors of Fall Festival in Madison Georgia. This free, family-friendly event will feature a variety of fun, fall activities from arts and crafts, to fresh cut meats, locally grown fall vegetables, and more. We are so excited to celebrate all that autumn has to offer that we wanted to wet your appetites a little early. We’re spilling the beans on everything our Flavors of Fall Festival will have to offer.
Flavors of Fall begins at 10am sharp, with a Farmer’s Market like no other. Peruse gourmet food vendors, like Hoosier Girl Cakery, Harrison Family Farm (be sure to stock up on their historically delicious chow-chow), and Stacy’s Kitchen. Don’t forget about our new Grist Mill tours and tastings! Farmview is opening the mill doors and demonstrating how incredible milling your own grains can be. You’ll even get to sample some delicious grits that will be hand milled, right before your eyes. Our local chefs will also be demonstrating their fall flavors and passing out samples of their taste treat sensations.
Be sure to bring the entire family too, because Farmview is hosting exciting children’s activities, like complimentary face painting, pumpkin decorating, and fall crafts, brought to you by The Painted Pineapple, Madison’s newest creative studio. Snap a family photo at our fall themed photo booth and be sure to share it on Farmview’s Facebook page! Enjoy live music by Funky Bluester and a performance by Madison’s own Happy Soles Cloggers and take part in a small antique tractor show for any collectors or farm enthusiasts out there! Farmview Market is especially honored to be raising money for a good cause. Visit the Farmview dunking booth during the event to help support a local charity! Stay tuned for more details.
Calling all bakers and decorators! Farmview's Flavors of Fall Festival will also host a pumpkin decorating and pie baking contest. Our Pie Baking contest will consist of two categories, apple and pecan pies, and must be made using local Georgia produce. You’ll be awarded based on the appearance and taste of your pie, so be sure to decorate that golden crust! To enter, see rules and eligibility here: http://ow.ly/ecs7304Caqo
We are proud to support the sustainability and continued growth and development of our local farmers, artisans, community organizations and businesses. We hope you’ll come out and join us to support and celebrate Flavors of Fall on Saturday, October 22nd. See you there!
