Get ready for the Flavors of Fall Festival at Farmview Market on Saturday, October 19th from 9AM to 2PM! Gather your friends and family to celebrate with us as we kick off the autumn season.
There’s something for everyone at the Flavors of Fall Festival! Children can enjoy a petting zoo, face painting, or take a ride on our hayride. Be prepared to answer some simple trivia for a prize. Adults can listen to live music, shop from our Farmers Market vendors, and sample various sides available for pre-order for Thanksgiving & Christmas.

Understanding Nutrition with Karen Zinka
Time: 9AM - 10:30AM
This class will provide a general nutritional overview of essential nutrients, focusing on how to maintain a balanced diet for overall health. Participants will learn about the importance of vitamins, minerals, proteins, fats, and carbohydrates, as well as practical tips for meal planning and making healthier food choices in their daily lives.

About the Teacher: Karen is Flavor & Fettle’s in-house clinical nutritionist, responsible for sourcing all of our supplements to best support diverse health goals. Karen is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and has her Masters in Public Health, with an emphasis on health promotion and behavior change. Karen focuses on providing nutrition education and individualized recommendations based on evidence-based research. Karen provides tailored wellness interventions, based on the needs of your whole body. Karen also works to make sure your dietary patterns are satisfying all of the nutritional requirements for a healthy, balanced life.

About the Teacher: Sophia Doomy’s sourdough journey began in 2022 a few weeks after the birth of her daughter. She found something healing in being able to create and maintain a starter from scratch & use it to provide the most lovely sourdough loaves for her family and friends. Her hopes for this class are to both teach & empower you to create and maintain a starter as you embark on your own sourdough journey!
