Join Farmview butcher Glen Wellman as he breaks down a side of pork in the Farmview Butcher Shop. He will instruct and discuss as he works. 

After the butcher demo, students will learn cooking techniques from our Chef as well and sample his delicious preparations. Every student will leave with pork to cook at home!

About the Instructor

Glen Wellman

Join Farmview butcher Glen Wellman as he breaks down a side of pork in the Farmview Butcher Shop. He will instruct and discuss as he works. 

After the butcher demo, students will learn cooking techniques from our Chef as well and sample his delicious preparations. Every student will leave with pork to cook at home!

Students will be learning:

  • Grill and fry pork chops
  • Instructions for cooking pork belly
  • Instructions for ribs (traditional smoker and home oven)

Students will take home:

  • 1 lb. Spare ribs
  • 1 lb. Pork belly
  • (2) 8 oz. Pork chops

Please Note:

  • Pre-registration is required. Registration includes butcher and cooking demo and the following products for students to take home for cooking: 1 lb. Spare Ribs, 1  lb. Pork Belly, (2) 8 oz. Pork Chops.
  • Class size is limited. Early registration is recommended.
  • Class held at Farmview Market  in the butcher area, which is kept extremely cold. Please plan to dress in layers, including hat and thick socks. Closed toed shoes are required.
  • Suitable for ages 12 and up. Minors must be accompanied by a parent.
