Farmview Market’s Southern Classic® BBQ Competition

2nd Annual Southern Classic® BBQ Competition

Join us as local teams face off in the second Southern Classic BBQ competition. Contestants will be sampling chicken, pork ribs and beef tri-tip. BBQ meals will also be available for purchase. Enjoy live music, kids crafts and more. Fun for the family.

Unless otherwise determined by the Competition Organizer, all events are considered RAIN or SHINE. No refunds will be given due to inclement weather.

General admission is FREE!

Sample tickets are available for purchase. For every 10 tickets purchased, attendees receive a voting ticket. Voting tickets will be cast to determine People’s Choice winner.

Music Performances

Kickin’ Grass 9 – 11 a.m.

Kickin’ Grass is a local band made up of five good friends playing bluegrass. They will surely lift your spirits whether you’ve had your morning coffee or not. Come out and see them in action, kickin’ the day off right!

David Court 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

David is a One Man Band playing harmonica, mountain dulcimer and foot tambourine. He has been playing at outdoor festivals and open-air markets all over north Georgia for the past seven years. His repertoire consists of Celtic fiddle tunes, American folk music and songs from the 60’s and 70’s. Whether playing on stage or while walking among the crowd his energetic tuneswill get you moving.

Andy & Amanda 1 – 3 p.m.

Founded in Suwanee, GA, Andy & Amanda are a multi-instrumental duo whose live performances feature expressive harmonies and Americana-infused songs. Their musical influences include Bruce Springsteen, Johnny Cash and June Carter, and Elvis Presley.

Rob Vincent & The Nightwatchmen 3 – 5 p.m.

Saving their first debut for our annual BBQ Battle, Rob Vincent & The Nightwatchmen will get you off your feet and singing along right there with them. Lead singer, Rob Agocs, is from Tucker, GA where he grew  up admiring Tom Petty and Butch Walker. Now based out of Atlanta, the acoustic band will be performing covers as well as some originals to end the day on a high note.
