Create your own beautiful holiday wreath in this hands-on workshop with local flower farmer and floral designer, Bonnie Vaughn!
In this holiday-themed workshop, each participant will be able to choose from a large selection of wonderfully aromatic greenery, dried flowers from Bonnie’s very own Red Dirt Road flower farm and fabulous natural items she has foraged from the natural world to create unique, one-of-a-kind wreaths.
All materials will be provided for participants to create and design their own wreath, and in the process, each participant will also learn how the simplest items that they may walk by or even walk on everyday can work perfectly in the designs of their personalized decorative artwork!
The workshop will be filled with refreshments, fun and fellowship– perfect for a girls’ afternoon or a special holiday date . Plan to arrive earlier in the day to enjoy Farmview’s famous Holiday Market from 9a-1p, grab some good food from the cafe and do some holiday shopping before class begins. You will want to make this Farmview shopping/dining/workshop experience a new holiday tradition!
Bonnie Vaughn is co-owner of Red Dirt Road Farm with her husband of 35 years, Tedd. Their farm is Certified Naturally Grown and located on Elder Mill Road (a dirt road) in Oconee County, just past the historic Elder Mill Covered Bridge. Bonnie is a retired Postmaster and has always loved growing and giving away flowers. In her second career as a Flower Farmer/Florist Bonnie does the things she loves most: spending time outdoors, growing flowers and sharing her passion with others! Bonnie has been teaching wreath-making for 5 years and is excited to help Farmview Schoolhouse students add beautiful, hand-made decor to their holiday season.
