You will learn which method is most effective, as well as the differences between essential and infused oils. As part of the experience, you will handcraft your own herbal salve to take home. Mandi is wife, mother to three, and lover of all things natural. Her first foray into wild-crafting and herbal concoctions was making ‘witches brew’ in her backyard at the ripe age of five, and since then she has always had a bit of earth to grow things. In her youth, after earning a degree in Culinary Sciences from Johnson and Wales, she became interested in using and growing many different herbs for both medicine and cooking. As a mother, she has concentrated on the uses of common herbs for first aid, i.e. salves for burns, bug bites, and cuts. Currently, Mandi is focusing on using herbs as a preventative in staving off memory changes, hypertension, and other preventable illnesses. When she is not wild-crafting or parenting, she creates textile art in the form of needle-felted Story Dolls. Mandi loves sharing this art form with others to show that wool can be formed just as easily as working with clay or other mediums.
