Join Farmview Market grower extraordinaire Brad Kelly for a morning of raised-bed construction and garden guidance! This hands-on workshop will get you busy making your raised-bed garden dreams come true with the guidance you need to put together a custom, Farmview raised-bed kit. The custom raised bed kit and construction guidance are included in the workshop price; if you cannot transport your finished product home in your vehicle, you can use the class as a demo and you can take home the kit for construction later*.
Brad will begin the session with instruction on how to best use a raised bed, including soil and amendments, placing the bed, planting best practices and tips, and share ideas for what to plant in your raised bed. He will guide you through the entire process, and then tell you how to best fill the bed for maximum garden potential in season.
This class is made for anyone who wants homegrown produce, without all the research! You will walk away from this class with all the components you need for your raised bed, and information on how to plant and grow vegetables and herbs.**
Perfectly timed to get you ready for the warm growing season, this experience will help you make your first step into that backyard herb garden or veggie plot you’ve been wanting. No tilling required!
*Keep in mind if you purchase the 4’x8’ kit, you will have 8’ boards you will need to transport home, so you will need a large vehicle or truck.
