Learn our step-by-step process of making sausage blends, working with different types of casings, cooking methods and more. You will take home 2 lbs. of sausage and learn the basics of sausage-making in an intimate setting. Led by Farmview Butcher Glen Wellman, you will leave with skills you can use in your own kitchen. This class will be held in the Butchery, which is kept at a very cold temperature. Please plan to dress in layers, including hat and thick socks.
**The minimum age for this workshop is 18.

Glen Wellman, Farmview Market’s Director of Meat Operations, started his career in the meat industry in California at age 16. After serving in the Marine Corps, he began cutting meat for a major retailer. Glen now lives in Eatonton, Ga., and works with a great team at Farmview Market. Glen believes there is no greater privilege than to pass on knowledge. As a journeyman meat cutter, Glen spent four years in a training program to learn all the aspects of butchery, and now he takes great pride in being a part of a movement to bring back the trade of butchery.
