A Spirit of Thankfulness, This Season and Always

What Thankfulness Means to Us

Thankfulness by definition means feeling or expressing gratitude; being grateful. As we enter the holiday season and, on this day, dedicated to giving thanks, we are grateful for so many things.

Good food, warm homes, family to make memories with, healthy bodies – to name a few. There are so many things small and large, many intangible, that make this life so good and precious and worth living.

This excerpt from The Farmer’s Creed puts it well.

I believe many of the best things in life are free: the splendor of a sunrise; the rapture of wide-open spaces; the exhilarating sight of your land greening each spring.

I believe true happiness comes from watching your crops ripen in the field and your children grow tall in the sun.

I believe my life will be measured ultimately by what I have done for my fellow man.

I believe when a man grows old and sums up his days, he should be able to stand tall and feel pride in the life he’s lived.

Gratitude is the condition in which we seek to live our lives. It is soul-warming and encouraging. It is a condition that requires humility. It generates kindness. It feels good. And, it is contagious – pass it on!

What We’re Most Thankful For

We are thankful for you – our guests and friends. Thank you for your support and patronage over the past three years and taking this journey with us. We work to daily provide you the very best local food experience.

With a spirit of thankfulness, we want to acknowledge and thank our farmer and supplier partners. Without them, our work would not be possible. They are an incredibly talented, innovative and extraordinarily hard-working group of entrepreneurs and creators. We count it a privilege to know them and help them grow their businesses.

We are thankful for a state with vast agricultural resources and programming. Our state department of agriculture is truly a friend to farmers and food businesses and helping them grow and thrive. The Georgia Grown program offers a great marketing platform on which to brand our state’s food products.
