Welcome Spring with the Spring Harvest Festival and Farmers Market at Farmview

It’s Spring on the Farm!

Put away your winter coat, but keep your rain boots handy – spring is here!  Farmview Market is celebrating the bounty of spring with not one, but two amazing events.  Come out and celebrate the season at the Spring Harvest Festival and season opening of the Farmers Market at Farmview on Saturday, May 5th beginning at 9am.

If you’ve missed this event in the past, here’s the lowdown on the Spring Harvest Festival, which is a big day of fun for the whole family to enjoy.  The event includes live music, face painting, chef demos, kids’ crafts, a petting zoo, and more.  The Spring Harvest Festival attracts visitors from all over the state who stop by to check out the activity and get a bite to eat.  More than a bite, in fact, as the food is amazing and the samples are plentiful. There will be market vendor demonstrations from some of your favorite Farmview market suppliers like Cheeky Maiden Soap Co., Back to Basics 101, Nature’s Kitchen and Honey Creek Bee Farm.  If you’re still hungry after all that activity, you can always grab a meal at Farmview’s café.  Go for the food and then stay for the fun.

Here’s what else you can expect:

Don’t miss it.

Farmers Market at Farmview

Thank a Farmer Double L RanchIf that isn’t enough, the Farmers Market at Farmview will reopen for the season, and take place every Saturday from 9am-1pm through early fall.  The bounty of the season will be on display from local farmers and artisans.   Most of us think of spring as the time when things are beginning to grow, but a visit to the farmers market will reveal the fact that some plants have been waiting for this moment all winter.  Take advantage of early spring produce along with a selection of eggs, poultry, vinegars, artisan crafts and more.  Spring is not just about the thin coat of yellow pollen all over your car, but about the first ripe peach, bowls full of berries and okra.  So grab your tissues.  We all might just be coming down with spring fever!
