You're Invited to the Grand Opening of Farmview Market
This week at Farmview Market, we are getting things ready in anticipation of celebrating our Grand Opening next Saturday, April 30, which also marks the first day of our open air farmers market. We have been open now for a couple months, but, we wanted to celebrate this occasion in a major way. Farmview would like to invite you to come enjoy a day of food and fun as we welcome musical guests, keynote speakers, guest chefs, and more!
The celebration begins with the kickoff of our Farmers Market at 8 a.m. At 9:30 a.m. a ribbon cutting ceremony will officially open Farmview Market. We are pleased to welcome some fantastic speakers such as Gary Black, the Georgia Agriculture Commissioner, and other guest speakers at 10 a.m.
Feel free to bring the kids, too! They’ll enjoy our Farm Kids Corner, where they can make crafts and take part in some really fun activities. We will also be having a Scavenger Hunt for everyone to enjoy with a Photo Contest where the winner receives a prize!
Live musical performances from A Band of Brothers bluegrass quartet at 11 a.m. and Swamp Rabbit Railroad at 2 p.m. will be a swinging good time! There will be pet adoptions through the Humane Society of Morgan County.
Still hungry for more? How about some top notch demonstrations from three incredible local chefs? David Larkworthy, chef and owner of Five Seasons Brewing; Seth Freedman, PeachDish head chef, and Holly Chute, Executive Chef of Georgia Grown will all be on hand with some delicious recipes. There will also be market vendor demonstrations by some of your favorite food suppliers, like:
OK, now we’re officially excited! We at Farmview cannot wait to celebrate this day with you and your family. While you’re in town, check out Madison Fest in downtown Madison with great activities and vendors.
So, mark April 30 on your calendars and come celebrate our Grand Opening and farmers market. From local farms to local tables, it’s all happening at Farmview Market.
